VOLUNTEER MINISTRY

Become A Volunteer

Whether you are looking to volunteer on a regular basis or interested in a one-time service experience, LCM welcomes you. Please contact tammy@lighthousecm.org to volunteer today.

Regular volunteer opportunities that anyone can show up for:

  • Every 2nd Tuesday of the month is our Food Fair at the Bayshore “Spillway” Park Pavilion on Bayshore Drive.
    • Volunteers needed to sort produce, pass out food to neighbors in need and/or pull wagons for neighbors & help load vehicles.
    • This is good for individuals, families (including kids) and small groups.
    • Arrive by 7:30 a.m. and ask for Ms. Ann.
    • Groups larger than six, please email or call LCM prior.
  • Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month are our Community Garden workdays in the Courtyard of the K.E. Little Elementary School in Bacliff.
    • Volunteers needed to help the garden team with clean-up, special projects, planting and irrigation.
    • This is good for individuals, families (including kids) and small groups.
    • Work times vary so check the LCM Facebook page for current workday hours.
    • Groups larger than 6, please email or call LCM prior.
  • Every 4th Saturday of the month is our mobile food distribution at the front of K.E. Little Elementary School in Bacliff.
    • Volunteers needed to sort & bag food and to load vehicles.
    • This is good for individuals and couples.
    • Arrive by 7:00 a.m. and ask for Ms. Ann
  • October 31st “Light up the Night” in the front parking lot of Lighthouse
    • Volunteers needed to serve food to community, run a fun booth, help with trash, runners, set up and clean up.
    • This is good for individuals, families and small groups.
    • Set up starts at 3:30 p.m., event starts around 6 p.m.
    • Groups wanting to host an activity or booth, should contact LCM to coordinate.

    • Thanksgiving Basket Workdays
    • Christmas Wrapping at Baybrook Mall
