"Although stumbling blocks from my past threatened to prevent me from reaching my goal of becoming a Substance Abuse Counselor, LCM didn't judge me. Instead, they welcomed me and showed me that God is gracious and merciful. They assigned me a mentor, who became like family and walked with me through every discouraging obstacle. The mentor went to meetings at the schools with me, she listened to my complaints, she listened to me cry and she shared the victories along the way.
When I wanted to give up because life issues were hard, finances were short, and the job was touch, they encouraged me to keep going and never give up believing that God has a purpose and a plan for my life. They helped me get where I am today mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. When my daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer, LCM embraced me and helped my family get through it. I am truly blessed that God chose me and my husband to be in the scholarship program."
