In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
Loving service and care for our neighbors grows from the belief that Jesus first loved us so that we might follow His example in the way we love each other.
We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:19-21)
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:17-18)
Healthy and accountable relationships grow and flourish when we encourage and support our neighbors, patiently living with each other in a way that proclaims the Kingdom of God is very near.
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. (2 Timothy 4:2)
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)
Our hope for a better future is centered in the gospel message that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection marked the beginning of God’s promise to restore and reconcile all of creation. We proclaim and share this gospel message in all we say and in all we do.
For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, "I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth." (Acts 13:47)
We encourage everyone to use their time and talents, giving back to the community through service to others.
Our programs are volunteer driven and staff managed.
We engage our community members through programs that serve, encourage, and offer opportunities for life transformation.
Our programs are designed to meet people where they are and encourage them to take steps that will produce positive change in their lives.
We build bridges between the community and local churches, connecting individuals with the possibility of growth that best happens when engaged in the life and fellowship of a supportive Christian community.
We provide opportunities for local church members to engage in meaningful service with their neighbors.
Individual’s living with hope, making healthy choices and living in healthy relationship with their families and neighbors. Neighbors walking alongside each other, supporting and caring for each other with sacrificial love.
A community where healthy lifestyles and relationships dominate the culture. A place where people and churches care and support each other, where lives are transformed and hope is the norm, where the saving grace of the gospel of Jesus is proclaimed in word and action.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe[d] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:43-47)
